From the Pyramids to Phuket: Nada & Mubarak's Wedding by the Sea
Nada and Mubarak got engaged in a moment of music and magic—during a concert at the pyramids in Egypt. When it came time to plan their wedding, they looked eastward to Thailand and chose the shores of Phuket as the place to begin their next chapter together.
Their ceremony took place on the beach at the InterContinental Phuket. The weather was perfect—calm, with a light breeze in the air. As guests settled into their seats, two violinists from Virtuosi Thailand performed a soft instrumental version of “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” The bride, accompanied by her mother, made her way down the aisle as the music carried over the gentle waves.
The ceremony was led by celebrant Tim Campbell, who guided the couple with poise and warmth. At the start, they chose to share a passage that reflected the spirit of the day:
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.” – 1 Corinthians 13:4–5
The floral design, in soft white and green, added a quiet elegance to the setting. Flowers for the ceremony were arranged by I Am Flower, while Iris Flora provided floral details for the dinner reception. Planning was handled by Phuket Romance, with Juanita and her team of five coordinating the day seamlessly from beginning to end.
After the ceremony, dinner unfolded under the starlit sky. DJ Mike executed a playlist designed in collaboration with Nada, who is also a recording artist and brought many of her own musical inspirations into the selections. Once the heartfelt speeches concluded, a professional belly dancer surprised the guests and drew the bride to the dance floor. One by one, others followed, filling the night with movement and laughter.
Later in the evening, the men of both families came together in a Dabke dance—a folk tradition rooted in the Levant, marked by strong rhythmic footwork and performed in a circle or a line. It was a moment of joy and connection, shared across generations. Toward the end of the night, Nada gave a special performance of one of her own songs for the guests—her voice carrying both sweetness and strength, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
It was a magical day of celebration, where music, tradition, and the presence of loved ones came together in perfect harmony. The couple fully embraced each moment, sharing their joy wholeheartedly with everyone around them.
