Entertainment is an essential part of any wedding celebration. It sets the mood, creates memorable moments, and adds a special touch to your big day. Every couple has their own unique vision and budget, and choosing the right entertainment can enhance the overall experience for both you and your guests.
With so many ideas available online, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. That’s why we want to focus on the entertainment options most popular in Phuket and that we have firsthand experience with. Over the years, we’ve worked with multiple suppliers in each of these categories, ensuring quality and reliability. Of course, this is not an exhaustive list—we frequently receive creative and unusual requests from couples and always strive to find the right vendors to bring those ideas to life.
Live Band. Phuket is home to many talented singers and musicians, covering various genres and styles. Most artists perform as a duo (vocals and guitar), but it’s certainly possible to arrange a full band with additional musicians. Prices for a duo start at around 700 USD for 2–3 hours and can increase significantly depending on the artist.
Classical Ensemble. For couples who love classical music, there are a few young and talented string musicians based in Phuket. The price for a single violinist typically starts at 300 USD for about two hours. However, if you’re looking for a highly skilled ensemble, we recommend flying in musicians from Bangkok. These performers regularly play in some of Thailand’s top orchestras, with prices starting at around 500 USD per musician. Accommodation and return flights, which can cost approximately 250 USD depending on the season, must also be factored in.
DJ. Phuket offers some of the best DJs in the country. While not many explicitly advertise their services, many are available for weddings upon request. Prices start at around 600 USD for 3–4 hours but can exceed 2,000 USD for those in highest demand.
Fire Show. A fire show is a visually stunning Thai performance, typically held on the beach after sunset. Performers manipulate flaming props such as staffs, chains, and hoops, combining dance with impressive acrobatics. Several excellent fire show groups operate in Phuket, with prices starting at around 450 USD.
Belly Dancer. A popular entertainment choice, particularly for Middle Eastern couples, belly dancing brings an exotic and elegant flair to the celebration. Currently, we know of only one professional belly dancer based in Phuket, with rates starting at around 300 USD.
Photo Booth. Photo booths have become a must-have at weddings, offering guests a fun way to capture memories. They usually come with an assortment of props to create playful and unique pictures. Several providers offer this service in Phuket, with prices starting at around 450 USD for four hours. A video booth option is also available for a small additional fee.
Fireworks. Fireworks are a classic wedding spectacle, beloved by both adults and children. There are multiple reliable fireworks providers in Phuket, with complete shows starting at around 2,000 USD. However, not all hotels and villas allow fireworks, and properties near the airport are strictly prohibited by law from having them.
Things to Avoid
In the past, some providers offered elephant appearances at wedding ceremonies. This is a cruel practice that causes suffering to the animals and can also pose risks to guests. For these reasons, we do not support or facilitate such requests.
