If you’re dreaming of a destination wedding in Phuket, wedding packages are one of the easiest ways to plan a beautiful celebration from afar. But what do these packages actually include—and what hidden costs should you watch out for?
We reviewed brochures from 18 top resorts in Phuket and Khao Lak to break it all down. Whether you’re looking for a beachfront vow exchange, a lush garden setup, or a traditional Thai ceremony, this guide will help you understand what’s typically included, what’s not, and which resorts offer those little extras that make a big difference.
How Many Packages Do Resorts Offer?
Most resorts offer 2 to 4 wedding packages, often organized by scale and luxury level:
- Intimate Packages (USD 1,800–2,700): Simple ceremony setup, floral basics, a bouquet and boutonniere, and a 2-3 hours photography session
- Mid-Range Packages (USD 3,000–4,500): Add hair & makeup, spa treatments, richer floral decorations, and few extras depending on the package
- Premium Packages (USD 4,500–8,100+): Include one or more nights’ accommodation, fine champagne, extended photo coverage, private dinners, transportation, and much more

What’s Typically Included
- Ceremony setup. A floral arch, chairs for 10–30 guests, aisle petals, and a table for the rings or sand ceremony
- Celebrant. A non-religious officiant or master of ceremonies (note: most ceremonies are symbolic)
- Bride’s hair & makeup. Included in most mid- and upper-tier packages
- Photography. At least 2–3 hours of professional coverage, delivered digitally
- Floral details. Bouquet and boutonniere, often with extra corsages or petal cones
- Wedding cake & toast. One- to three-tier cake and a bottle of sparkling wine for toasting
- Resort-issued wedding certificate. A non-legal keepsake issued by the resort
What’s Not Included
- Reception dinner. Not included in most packages. Many resorts require a minimum food & beverage spend (generally USD 3,500–7,500) for dinner events
- Legal registration. None of the packages include legal marriage registration—you’ll need to arrange this in your home country or through a local wedding agent
- Guest accommodation. Packages typically only include accommodation for the couple (if at all). Guest stays are extra
- Entertainment. Live music, DJs, fire shows, and other entertainment are usually offered as add-ons
- Videography. Photography is commonly included, but video services typically cost extra
- Additional guests. Most packages include setup for up to 30–50 guests, with extra guest charges ranging widely from USD 3–60 per person

What About Accommodation?
- Accommodation in packages. Accommodation is generally not included in the most basic wedding packages, but becomes more common in mid-range and premium options
- Room Type. When accommodation is included, it is typically in a deluxe or ocean view room, often with a honeymoon turndown service. A few premium packages, such as The Pavilions‘, include a 1-night Villa stay
Tip: Even if accommodation is not part of the wedding package, most resorts offer discounted room rates for couples and guests as part of the overall wedding agreement. Many also provide complimentary room upgrades for any nights the bridal couple books separately.

Unique Touches You’ll Only Find in Some Packages
- Traditional Thai ceremonies. Several resorts—like The Slate, Centara, and Devasom—offer Thai wedding options with monk blessings, long drum parades, and water-pouring rituals
- Anniversary gift voucher. Hyatt Regency’s premium package includes a complimentary voucher for the couple to return and stay for free on their one-year anniversary
- Champagne package. Pullman Phuket Arcadia‘s top-tier package includes a Veuve Clicquot Jeroboam champagne bottle, chocolate fountain, spa, and champagne-themed décor

Final Thoughts
Phuket wedding packages can make planning easier—but they’re not one-size-fits-all. From basic beach vows to luxury multi-day celebrations, there’s a package for every couple. Just make sure you’re clear on what’s included—and what’s not—so you can plan (and budget) accordingly.
