Intercontinental Phuket Resort is right on Kamala beach and is one of our favorite properties in the whole island. It extends over two large connected areas, the beach side and the mountain side. Our recommendation for most weddings is to choose the beach side, where you can have a very private and fully equipped beach-front space with adjacent but distinct areas for each phase of your wedding: ceremony, reception and after-party. As you would expect from an Interco property, the food, the accommodation and the standards of service are absolutely top class.

Things to be aware of

• It is also possible to hold the ceremony on the mountain side of the resort, which features a beautiful elevated Pool Deck as well as an indoor Lounge. This would be our recommendation for couples that choose a Thai or Chinese traditional wedding and need an indoor area for the tea ceremony.
• The property is next to the world famous Cafe Del Mar, whose music can echo from the beach at night. It can become also an option for those guests that want to continue the party deep into the night.
